Laurie Venora, Coach

Laurie Venora earned her BS/BA degree in Economics with a minor in Biology from Fairfield University in 1985 then off to Law School.  A brief stint in the Law department at Aetna was followed by a longer stint staying home taking care of four kids. Active all of her life, playing basketball, tennis, softball and running cross country, she continued this healthy lifestyle while employed as a stay at home mom.  She coached girls softball and girl basketball in West Hartford while competing in many road races, duathlons and triathlons. It was with her family's support that Laurie entered the Fitness World professionally in 2007.   She is Certified through The American College of Sports Medicine and earned her High School Strength and Conditioning Certification through the International Youth Conditioning Association.  Motivating and demanding of her students, Laurie firmly believes that all kids could be stronger athletes with the right training.   Laurie is a runner, a swimmer, a frustrated golfer and an avid tennis player. She loves the outdoors (the warmer the better) and likes to spend vacation time at the Jersey Shore. Laurie lives in West Hartford with her husband Tim, her four kids, and their dog Maddie.
